Karim Mimouni

Biography

Professor Karim Mimouni earned his Ph.D. in Finance from McGill University, a M.Sc. in Finance from HEC Montreal, and a Bachelor of Science from IHEC Carthage. Presently, he serves as a Finance Professor at Qatar University. Previously, he held positions as an Associate Professor at the American University in Dubai and Hult Business School (Dubai campus).

Professor Mimouni has contributed to several academic journals such as the Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Applied Economics, International Review of Economics and Finance, Economic Modelling, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, and the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance. His research has been featured in major Finance conferences including the American Finance Association, The European Finance Association, and the Northern Finance Association annual meetings.

His research interests include Financial Economics, Islamic Finance, Financial Derivatives, and Energy Economics, while his teaching portfolio covers subjects like Derivatives, Investments, and Corporate Finance.

Professor Mimouni was a recipient of the President Award for Teaching Excellence at the American University in Dubai and the Ideal Business Professor Award from the same university.
